Feeling ill? 5 easy steps to look healthier and presentable using make-up!

Did your own reflection in the mirror scare you this morning? Don't worry! This will be an easy guide to help you look healthier and presentable in a short amount of time, using make-up.

1) The under eye area problem...
Huge, dark bags under your eyes from your lack of sleep last night? Concealer is your best friend right now! But try a color corrector before you put on your concealer. A salmon-colored corrector will neutralize the blue and purple colors under your eyes. After that, use some concealer that's a shade lighter than your skintone to conceal and highlight. Set it with a fine setting powder and you'll instantly look healthier!

2) Tired, puffy eyes...
For this problem, you want to focus on creating the illusion of opening up your eyes. The first step in doing is, is curling your lashes. This makes a huge difference! Next up a thin line with some liquid liner. The fun thing about liquid eyeliner is that you can change the way your eyes look. In this case, you want to make your eyes look more open and round, so just draw a thin line across the lash line. Don't make it too thick, because it will make your eye make-up look too dark. Apply two coats of your favorite mascara to curl and lengthen your lashes. Also apply a little bit to the lower lashes to create the illusion of bigger eyes. It already looks a lot better, right?

3) Red eyes...
So now your eyes look open and awake, but what about the redness? Use a nude-colored eyeliner in your waterline. Again, this will create the illusion of bigger eyes, but it also makes your eyes look whiter and less red. Don't use a white eyeliner though, because it can sometimes look too 'fake' on the waterline. A nude-colored eyeliner looks way more natural!

4) Pale, dull skin...
If you're feeling a bit under the weather, sometimes your skin can look a bit pale and dull. To make your skin look less pale, use a bronzer on the places the sun would naturally hit you. So underneath your cheekbones, the temples, right underneath the hairline and a little bit on the bridge of your nose. To bring back some color, use a blush that complements your skintone and apply a bit on the apples of your cheeks. Still looking a bit dull? Use some highlighter on the high points of your face to give you that healthy glow back!

5) Chapped lips...
The last step is to moisturize your lips. Use your favorite hydrating lip balm or lip butter to moisturize your lips. You can also use some tinted lip balm on top that's a shade darker than your natural lip color, to make you look a bit more lively and put together!

I hope this post helps you and thanks so much for reading! Leave your comments, questions or requests in the comment section and I'll see you next time!

Beauty bargains!

Today's post is about beauty bargains. This is my top 5 of really good make-up products that don't break the bank. Do you want to invest in good quality make-up, but don't want to go to the Chanel counter? Then please keep on reading! (These products are in no particular order)

Catrice Prime and Fine Anti-Red Base

The first product is the Catrice Prime and Fine Anti-Red Base. It's only €4,59, which is way cheaper than most primers at the drugstore. This is a great product for combination/oily skin, because it's an oil-free product. The primer is green, this makes sure that it acts as a color corrector. If you have some breakouts, the green will neutralize the redness to give you an even skintone that's ready for foundation. Use this under your foundation and it will go on smoother, last longer and look better. The one thing I don't like about it, is the fact that it has A LOT of glitter in it. This is a common problem with drugstore make-up. But once you've put your foundation on top, you don't really notice any of the glitter anymore.

Gosh BB Skin Perfecting Kit

I included this kit, because you get three products in one! It costs €12,49 which is a bit more than the last product, but you do get two concealers and a highlighter. So that kind of makes up for it ;) I really like the consistency of the concealers. They are really pigmented and are a bit thicker. The cream highlighter is beautiful too. It gives a really pretty sheen/glow and it doesn't have that drugstore-glitter in it, which I was talking about earlier. I like that it's a small kit which makes this great for traveling!

Maybelline Terre Indienne Bronzing Powder with Blush 09 Golden Tropics
Maybelline Terre Indienne - 09 Golden Tropics - Bronzer
Not three products in one this time, but two! This time a bronzing powder and a blush. Both the bronzing powder and the blush have some glitter in it. When you first look at it, it looks like a lot of glitter, but once you put in on your skin, the glitter isn't noticeable. It just gives you a healthy, glowing finish. The bronzing powder doesn't look orange on the skin at all and the blush is a pretty peach/pink color. It doesn't have the most amazing pigmentation, but I really like the finish of this product. And €13,29 for a bronzer and a blush isn't too bad, right?!

Bourjois Contour Clubbing Waterproof eye pencil
Black party 41
It can be really difficult to find a good eye pencil that's affordable. Well... I think I found one! This eye pencil is AMAZING! It is super pigmented, really black and stays on for a really long time! It's also really creamy, so it's amazing for creating the perfect smoked out eyeliner. This is hands down the best eyeliner I've ever used. And all of that for only €7,64.

Catrice Ultimate Colour 010 Be Natural

Looking for a nude lipstick? Look no further... ;) This lipstick is really pigmented and stays on your lips for a really long time. The color is a really pretty nude with pink undertones and it's not too light, so it doesn't make you look ill. The packaging is really pretty too and definitely doesn't look cheap, which is a good thing, 'cause it's only €3,99.

So that was my top 5 beauty bargains! Thanks for reading this blogpost and leave your requests, questions or anything like that in the comment section below! ;) Until next time!

Fragrance favorites!

This post is going to be about my all time favorite fragrances! I have four perfumes I want to talk about so... let's start!

Versace - Yellow Diamond
Yellow Diamond Versace for women
First off this perfume by Versace. To me this perfume smells like spring. Probably because this scent is very floral with citrus undertones but it's not one of those really heavy perfumes. It's perfect for wearing throughout the day. Even though it is an eau de toilette, it actually lasts very long on the skin. It's a beautiful and unique scent and I always get lots of compliments whenever I'm wearing this perfume! So I guess that's a good thing, right?!
Main notes: lemon, bergamot, neroli, pear sorbet.
1 oz --> $52.00

Lady Gaga - Fame
Fame Lady Gaga for women

Fame by Lady Gaga smells SO GOOD!! It really reminds me of honey but it's also a very floral scent. This is probably one of the most longlasting perfumes I have ever had. Whenever I spray this on in the morning, I can still smell it a bit in the evening. The packaging is absolutely beautiful! I love the combination of the black(!) perfume with the gold lid on top. The perfume is black... but no stains at all... Once you spray it, it turns invisible! "It's black like the soul of fame, but invisible once airborne."
Main notes: Belladonna, incense, honey drops, saffron, apricot.
1 oz --> $42.00

Katy Perry - Purr
Purr Katy Perry for women
Unlike the Versace and Lady Gaga perfumes, Purr by Katy Perry is one of those sweet and fruity scents. Again, this one is definitely suitable for daytime wear because it goes on very natural. It's sweet and fruity, but not too strong. Unfortunately, this does mean that the scent does not last long on the skin. So some touch-ups will be necessary when wearing this on a long day, but it's worth it!
Main notes: peach, apple, gardenia, green bamboo.
1 oz --> $36.00

Dior - Miss Dior
Miss Dior (new) Dior for women
I decided to save the best for last... Miss Dior is a beautiful, warm scent with patchouli as a base note and citrus and floral undertones. When you spray it on your skin, at first it's really strong but after a while it turns into a pleasant, warm scent that will last all day long. This is definitely my favorite perfume at the moment. Not the cheapest perfume out there, but it's worth every penny in my opinion!
Main notes: Italian mandarin, Egyptian jasmine, rose.
1 oz --> $70.00
